Spend the day, the weekend or the whole summer at Long Beach Conservation Area on Lake Erie. With 225 serviced and unserviced campsites, and a beautiful sandy beach, there’s plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy summer. Fish, play bocce ball, horseshoes, baseball, or just enjoy your picnic while the children swim or play on the playground. The abundant beach shoreline is Long Beach’s main attraction. The sand and pebble beach is a natural playground for those who swim, sunbathe, fish, sailboard or jet-ski. The list is only limited by the imagination. Visitors can stroll the shoreline or open a lawn chair in the shade to enjoy nature’s air-conditioner – the great Lake Erie breeze!
Forest and lake habitats offer fine opportunities for birdwatching, wildlife viewing and photography. With its location along main migratory routes, observant Long Beach visitors can spot interesting migrating insect, bird and waterfowl species.
Organized and/or sanctioned special events include the Brad Shaw Memorial Horseshoe Tournament and other seasonally scheduled activities. An organized interpretive/education/recreation program offers visitors a great opportunity to have fun while learning more about outdoor recreation, conservation and the natural world. This family-orientated program is a hit with kids!
Day Use and Camping from Victoria Day weekend through Thanksgiving weekend. Reservations can be made for the camping season that runs from the Friday of Victoria Day weekend through the end of Thanksgiving weekend.
